Rebuilding the Messaging Builder for Salesforce

Rebuilding the Messaging Builder for Salesforce

Service Cloud’s Messaging Component Builder allows admins to design outbound messages used across channels like WhatsApp and in-app messaging. As messaging evolved from simple text to rich, interactive experiences, the builder failed to keep pace, creating friction, errors, and limited adoption.

I led the end-to-end redesign of the builder, rethinking it as a visual, composable system where admins could design, preview, and validate messages in one place.

The new experience supports multi-screen flows, drag-and-drop components, live preview, and reusable templates, giving admins the confidence to create richer messaging experiences across channels like WhatsApp and in-app messaging. It also laid the architectural groundwork for AI-powered messaging features down the line.

Impact: Faster setup, fewer errors, higher confidence, and a scalable foundation the team continues to build on.

Let’s Talk

I'm always up for thoughtful conversations about design, systems, and building things that last. Whether you're working through a hard problem, thinking about what design looks like in practice, or just want to say hi, I'd love to hear from you.
